A training institution illegally collects personal information of candidates.On July 25, the Netan Brigade of Lixia Branch of Jinan Public Security Bureau received a clue that the website of an education and training institution in Jinan was suspected of illegally collecting citizen information by using the civil servant recruitment registration platform. After investigation, the training institution is located in a building in Jingshi Road, Lixia District, and its main business is examination training for civil servants and institutions. This institution imitates the official registration platform for recruitment of civil servants in Shandong Province in 2022, and illegally collects personal information such as candidates’ names and mobile phone numbers. Candidates must fill in their personal information on the website of the training institution before they can enter the link of the civil service recruitment registration platform. Wang, the person in charge of the institution, admitted that the webpage was set up to collect the personal information of candidates, so that it can be used to inquire about the registration, training and examination of candidates, and then push counseling materials to them in a targeted manner to guide them to continue to register for training and play a role in precise marketing. According to the provisions of Paragraph 3 of Article 22 and Article 41 of the Cyber Security Law of the People’s Republic of China, the public security organ shall give an administrative warning to the training institution according to law and issue a Notice of Ordering Correction.

After investigation, Zhao admitted his behavior of seeking examination qualification through interest exchange. According to the relevant provisions of the Measures for Handling Violations of Civil Servants’ Employment, the municipal competent department of civil servants will give it the right to cancel this application and restrict the application for civil servants for five years.
