From April 3, Beijing motor vehicle tail number will be restricted to rotation.

  CCTV News:According to the news of Beijing Municipal Government Network on March 27th, the Beijing Municipal People’s Government issued a notice on the implementation of regional traffic restriction measures during the peak hours of working days.

  In order to effectively consolidate the effectiveness of air pollution control, reduce vehicle pollutant emissions, and continuously improve the air quality in the capital, the Beijing Municipal Government decided to continue to implement traffic management measures for restricted areas during peak hours on weekdays (except Saturdays and Sundays that were adjusted to work due to holidays) from April 3, 2023 to March 31, 2024. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

  First, the central state organs within the administrative area of this Municipality, the party and government organs at all levels in this Municipality, the official vehicles of social organizations, institutions and state-owned enterprises affiliated to the central government and this Municipality are suspended for one day per week (from 0: 00 to 24: 00) according to the tail number of the license plate, and the scope is the roads within the administrative area of this Municipality.

  2. According to the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Regulations of Beijing Municipality on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution, except for the motor vehicles within the above-mentioned Article 1, other motor vehicles in this city implement traffic management measures to restrict traffic in the peak hours of working days according to the license plate number. The time limit is from 7: 00 to 20: 00, and the scope is within the Fifth Ring Road (excluding the Fifth Ring Road).

  Three, according to the above requirements of motor vehicle license plate tail number (including temporary number plate) is divided into five groups, regular rotation limit day. The details are as follows:

  (1) From April 3, 2023 to July 2, 2023, the tail numbers of motor vehicle license plates that are restricted from Monday to Friday are: 4 and 9, 5 and 0, 1 and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8, respectively (motor vehicle license plates with English letters are managed as No.0, the same below);

  (2) From July 3, 2023 to October 1, 2023, the tail numbers of motor vehicle license plates restricted from Monday to Friday are: 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0, 1 and 6, 2 and 7 respectively;

  (3) From October 2, 2023 to December 31, 2023, the tail numbers of motor vehicle license plates restricted from Monday to Friday are: 2 and 7, 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0, 1 and 6 respectively;

  (4) From January 1, 2024 to March 31, 2024, the tail numbers of motor vehicle license plates restricted from Monday to Friday are: 1 and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0 respectively.

  Four, the following motor vehicles are not subject to the above measures:

  (1) Police cars, fire engines, ambulances and engineering rescue vehicles;

  (2) buses, inter-provincial long-distance passenger vehicles and buses, Beijing B-section number plate taxis (excluding rental vehicles), special postal vehicles, vehicles with tourist bus operating certificates issued by the municipal traffic administrative department, unit buses and school buses approved by the municipal public security traffic administrative department;

  (3) Administrative law enforcement vehicles and special vehicles for removing obstacles that are painted with uniform marks and perform official duties;

  (four) special operation vehicles for sanitation, gardening, road maintenance and emergency communication support, and funeral vehicles for funeral homes;

  (5) Vehicles with the "Shi" prefix number plate and vehicles approved for temporary entry;

  (6) Pure electric passenger cars (passenger cars driven by electric motors with rechargeable batteries as the only power source).

  Five, other provinces and cities in Beijing motor vehicle traffic management, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau Public Security Traffic Management Bureau.
