CCTV News:As a pilot city for the renovation of old residential areas in China, there are 817 old residential areas listed in the renovation plan in Guangzhou, mainly distributed in Yuexiu and other central cities. At present, Guangzhou has completed the micro-renovation of 492 old residential areas, benefiting 540,000 residents in the city.
Huaqiao New Village, located in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, is the first large-scale overseas Chinese residential area in a big city in China, covering an area of 680,000 square meters, with more than 1,100 households. It has long faced the common problems of old residential areas such as damaged buildings and supporting facilities and imperfect municipal facilities. As the first batch of micro-renovated residential areas in the city, the renovation and renovation of roads, steps and walls have been completed, but property services have not been introduced yet.
This year, Guangzhou launched a pilot project to explore social forces to participate in micro-renovation in a market-oriented way, and participated in the whole process of micro-renovation of old residential areas by introducing professional property companies and other enterprises. Huaqiao New Village built an intelligent management platform, developed a small service program dedicated to Huaqiao New Village, and realized smart parking and drone security inspection.
By the end of November, 2020, 492 of the 817 old residential areas in Guangzhou have been renovated, accounting for more than 60% of the total, and 35.61 million square meters of old buildings have been renovated, benefiting 540,000 families and 1.73 million residents.
