Guangzhou Auto Show closes, welcoming 785,000 visitors

On November 28, the 19th Guangzhou International Auto Show came to an end. The 10-day exhibition attracted 785,000 visitors, an increase of 23,000 visitors compared with the previous year, showing strong spending power.

In the context of the continuous global epidemic and the cancellation or postponement of major international auto shows, the Guangzhou Auto Show has become the only international A-level auto show held as scheduled for two consecutive years in the world. The person in charge of the auto show organizing committee said that as one of the most important city business cards in Guangzhou, the Guangzhou Auto Show not only shows the international community the achievements of China’s anti-epidemic and the development of China’s auto industry, but also sends a positive signal and firm confidence to the global auto industry.

At this year’s Guangzhou Auto Show, global automakers gathered in Yangcheng to showcase the innovative development achievements of the world’s automotive industry, and to fully demonstrate the deep integration of automobiles with cutting-edge technologies such as 5G technology, mobile Internet, artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing.

As one of the most cutting-edge technologies, autonomous driving-related technologies have gradually entered every car from the "black technology" in science fiction movies. Car companies have launched models loaded with smart networking equipment such as solid-state lidar, ultra-high definition cameras, millimeter-wave radar, and long-range ultrasonic sensors to make driving safer. Major booths also exhibited new technologies including smart cockpits, smart car operating systems, visual interaction, facial recognition, voice artificial intelligence, real-life head-up display, and smart wearable device interconnection.

The Guangzhou Auto Show Organizing Committee also announced that the 20th Auto Show will be held at the Canton Fair from November 18 to 27, 2022.
